Rate SheetFree menu bar app for macOS

The rates that drive a deal, one click from the menu bar.

Every lender publishes a daily rate sheet. This one lives in your Mac's menu bar: the federal funds target range stays in view, and a click opens the sheet with this week's mortgage averages, the 10-year Treasury and spread, the next FOMC decision, and a payment and DSCR calculator at today's rate.

What's on the sheet

The same four sections every time, top to bottom, each captioned with the publisher that served it and the date its numbers were published.

Policy
The federal funds target range, the effective rate if you want it, the next FOMC decision with a countdown, and the last change.
Mortgage
This week's 30-year and 15-year fixed averages, each with 1-week and 52-week change and a 52-week sparkline. Add a free FRED key and the daily 30-year conforming index joins them.
Treasury
The 10-year yield, and the spread between the 30-year mortgage average and the 10-year on the survey date, with its 52-week range.
Calculator
Monthly principal and interest at today's rate or one you type, DSCR from your monthly NOI with lender-floor bands, and what ±50 bp does to both.

Works on first launch. A free key is optional.

Without a key, every number comes straight from the organization that publishes it. Add your own free FRED key and FRED becomes the primary source, with the keyless sources standing in if it ever fails.

A key is a 32-character string from fredaccount.stlouisfed.org; it is kept in your login Keychain and sent only to FRED.

Where the numbers come from

Rate Sheet shows published figures unaltered, with their publication date, and each copy fetches them for its own user. These are the publishers and the notices their terms ask us to show.

Private by design

No server, no account, no analytics. Rate Sheet makes HTTPS requests only to the publishers above, keeps its cache and preferences on your Mac, and stores a FRED key, if you add one, in your login Keychain and nowhere else.
